Auctions Have Ended

Thank you for your interest in our auctions, but as you can see from our posts, this fundraiser ended in 2017.

However, we are leaving these posts up so that you may continue to enjoy the art that had been donated by collectors, and in many cases, the artists themselves. We appreciate their generosity, and the generosity of those who had participated by bidding on our items for the NCS Foundation.

Michael Giacchino

This is a brand new copy of The Art of Inside Out donated from the collection of actor Paul Dooley. The shrink wrap was removed only in order to have Inside Out’s score composer, Michael Giacchino, sign it on the inside. Giacchino jokingly makes note that the book has nothing to do with the music in the film by writing “Why is there no music in this book???”

Michael Giacchino’s career has been on fire lately as the composer for the last three Star Trek movies, “Jurassic World,” “Doctor Strange,” and the recently released “Star Wars: Rogue One” movie! He won the Best Score Academy Award for his beautiful music in Pixar’s “Up.”

Paul Dooley was the voice of Sarge the Jeep in both of Pixar’s “Cars” movies, but you also may know him from several Robert Altman movies including “Popeye” where he played Wimpy. Paul has also been in movies such as “Insomnia,” “Runaway Bride,” “Waiting For Guffman,” and “Sixteen Candles.” Paul had some animation books in his collection that he donated to the NCS Foundation.

Paul Dooley and Michael Giacchino

We are excited to offer this great brand new hardcover copy of “The Art of Cars 2” donated from the collection of actor Paul Dooley.

Paul was the voice of Sarge the Jeep in both of Pixar's "Cars" movies, but you also may know him from several Robert Altman movies including “Popeye” where he played Wimpy. Paul has also been in movies such as “Insomnia,” “Runaway Bride,” “Waiting For Guffman,” and “Sixteen Candles.” Paul has signed this book, and as an added bonus, we had the score composer, Michael Giacchino, sign it as well. Michael’s career has been on fire lately as the composer for the last three Star Trek movies, “Jurassic World,” “Doctor Strange,” and the recently released “Star Wars: Rogue One” movie! He won the Best Score Academy Award for his beautiful music in Pixar's "Up."

Jeffrey Brown

We are excited to offer to you this original page from the book Darth Vader and Friends by the effervescent Jeffrey Brown published in the spring of 2015. You are bidding on Brown’s original art for page 17 drawn with ink and markers on a 6x6” piece of illustration board. The reverse side of the art contains Brown’s handwritten notes of the dates on which he drew the various stages in his creative process, along with a little character doodle and his signature with the completion date of 9/18/14.

Beginning a few years back with Darth Vader and Son, Brown’s humorous take on the Star Wars universe was a refreshing look at the human side of the Sith Lord’s relationship with a young version of his son, and struck a chord with judges for the Eisner Awards who gave one to him for Best Humor Publication. The book proved to be very popular with Star Wars fans, that Brown was soon working on several sequels winning another Eisner for Vader’s Little Princess

Our thanks to Jeffrey for donating this original art to our fundraiser.

This mixed media illustration was created on a 8.75x12.25” piece of illustration board, and the art itself measures 5.5x5.75”. This is a fantastic piece in Payne’s unmistakeable style, and would be a delight to add to your illustration collection. Signed “C.F.” in the lower left corner.

C.F. Payne is widely respected for his craft whose artwork has graced the covers of Time Magazine, Reader’s Digest, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times Book Review and Sunday Magazine, MAD Magazine, der Spiegel, U.S. News and World Report, The Atlantic Monthly, Texas Monthly, Boys’ Life and more.
